About Northstone
Independent thinking. Practical experience.
Northstone Advisory was established to provide focused senior-level support on the strategic and technological decisions that shape how businesses evolve.
The firm
Northstone is an independent strategy and technology advisory firm based in Tallinn, Estonia, and working internationally.
We advise established organisations and leadership teams navigating AI implementation, digital transformation and critical stages of entrepreneurial growth. Our approach combines commercial judgement with a practical understanding of technology, operating models and complex implementation environments.
Northstone is deliberately selective. Engagements are structured around a specific decision or transformation priority and receive direct senior involvement throughout.
Experience behind Northstone
Northstone’s perspective is informed by hands-on experience in building and scaling international B2B technology businesses, developing financial software and bringing applied AI products into demanding institutional environments.
The firm is led by Dmitry Dolgorukov, a technology entrepreneur and co-founder of HES FinTech. His experience spans lending technology, credit risk, enterprise software, AI-based decisioning, product strategy and international business development. He has worked with banks, regulated financial institutions, fintech companies and technology-led businesses across multiple markets.
Dmitry also led GiniMachine, an AI-powered decisioning platform developed for credit scoring and predictive analytics. His work has provided a practical view of what it takes to move from an AI concept to a production capability in environments where accuracy, explainability, data quality and governance matter.
He holds a Master’s degree in International Economics and a Professional Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing in the United Kingdom. His perspectives on financial technology, AI and business transformation have appeared in Forbes and Finextra.
